Associate Pastor Jenny Peek will preach for our first semi-Zoom service during the second week of classes at Yale. Under current Yale rules, our choir and leaders will be in-person in Battell Chapel, but we can’t have an in-person congregation – so we’ll send out the service via Zoom. If you need the Zoom link, please e-mail Pastor Ian Oliver. This week Pastor Jenny will preach on 1 Corinthians 15: 1-11 and Luke 5: 1-11. Our choir (limited to 8 singers this week) will sing music of William Henry Harris and lead our hymns. This Sunday we will celebrate Holy Communion and those joining on Zoom are invited to bring their own communion elements: bread, juice or wine. |

Pastor Ian Oliver will preach on the Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany on Luke 6: 17-26. Benjamin Geeding, our Liturgical Coordinator, will lead our prayers. Student Deacons Ben Colon-Emeric and Sarah Grube will read our scriptures. Daryl Denelle, our Sam Slie Fellow, will lead our Confession. An octet drawn from our wonderful choir will lead our music. Under Yale Covid rules, our choir and leaders will be in-person in Battell Chapel, but our congregation is invited to join us virtually on Zoom. Yale students and staff and pre-approved visitors are invited back to Battell Chapel this Sunday for worship at 10:30 a.m. Benjamin Geeding, our UCY Liturgical Coordinator, will preach, and our full choir will sing. We will pray for the Ukraine and our choir will sing settings of “Precious Lord” and “Soon I Will Be Done” in honor of Black History Month.
