Worship in the middle weekend of Yale’s Spring Break for the Fifth Sunday in Lent will include a sermon by Pastor Ian Oliver, our Break Choral Ensemble directed by Rachel Segman and Dr. A. Nathaniel Gumbs on the organ.

Join UCY to start Holy Week 2024 with our Palm and Passion Worship Service.  We’ll begin (weather permitting) outside on Old Campus to bless the palms and start the procession with palms into the Chapel.  Associate Pastor Jenny Peek will preach, Pastor Ian Oliver will celebrate Holy Communion, and we will read the Passion story from St. Mark’s Gospel.  NOTE: Because we end the service in silence, there will be no “Coffee Hour” after worship - but you’re invited for coffee and refreshments BEFORE worship at 10 a.m. in the Narthex.

Our Maundy Thursday Service is a participatory experience re-telling the story of Jesus and his friends in the Upper Room from the Gospels, and includes a real dinner meal, Holy Communion, footwashing (voluntary).  Email Pastor Ian at ian.oliver@yale.edu to RSVP for the meal and service.  

Our Good Friday Service with the Episcopal Church at Yale and LuMin at Yale is a beautiful, solemn observance of Jesus’s Passion and death.  The service will include a reflection by Rev. Kari Keyl from LuMin, the reading of the Passion story, a time for veneration of the cross, and the combined ECY and UCY choirs will sing the Allergri “Miserere Mei, Deus.”  

Our festive Easter Sunday service will include a sermon by Pastor Ian Oliver, Holy Communion, and lots of Easter anthems and hymns with organ, brass and choir.
